At UC Davis, we believe that housing should never be a barrier to pursuing your educational, research, and public service goals. That's why we offer a range of housing assistance programs designed to support you in finding the perfect home.
We understand that the journey of applying for a home loan can sometimes be overwhelming, but don't worry! Dedicated staff from UC Davis' Real Estate Services as well as your departmental representative, are here to guide you every step of the way. To help, UC Davis offers a variety of home loan options:
Mortgage Origination Program (MOP)
Provides competitive first mortgages to eligible faculty and senior management to help with the purchase of a principal residence near their campus.
Supplemental Home Loan Program (SHLP)
These loans are used in conjunction with our Mortgage Origination Program (MOP) loans to reduce the cash down payment required for your home purchase.
Zero Interest Program Loan (ZIP)
This recruitment tool to help build a offers zero interest loans for a number of years and is primarily offered to assistant professors and other hard-to-fill academic positions.

CalHFA Dream - A Shared Appreciation Loan
